Home2004About

On February 6, 7 & 8 2004, the Olav Haavaldsrud Timber Company will host, once again, a regional curling bonspiel in the "Skins" format to help raise capital funds for the Community of Hornepayne.

The "Dare to Feed the Bears!" bonspiel was developed from arequest by the community to help in their fund-raising activities. Belinda Kistemaker deliberated over finding a creative way to generate these funds in a manner that would promote the community on a regional basis and provide recreational benefits to participants.

Funds raised during this year's event ($10,906.96) were directed towards the local branch (#194) of the Royal Canadian Legion.
