Teams arrive and the serious business of preparation for competition begins.
Barely in the door and the fund raising has begun with the help of local groups such as Hornepayne Minor Hockey.
Meanwhile out on the ice the action is begining to heat up.
In curling
technique
is everything!
And everyone has their own.
Just in case curling was not hard enough you can always try your luck in the put to the button game. This year's winner was David Anderson.
The skips behind the glass never miss a shot.
Even diehard bonspielers must stop for food sometimes and this year once again the legion ladies treated the curlers to a great meal.
Also returning this year the charity auction was a success thanks to the many generous companies who supplied the great items up for bid.
Also available this year were special fashion accessories like hats and t-shirts with the Feed the Bears 2005 logo. Many items are still available, interested parties should contact Belinda Kistemaker at belinda@haavaldsrud.com.
Obviously a good time was had by all at this year's event.
And what really is in that mug might have something to do with it.
Now that it has come to an end this year we must congratulate the winners and thank all the sponsors and participants, not to mention volunteers who make this event possible and successful. And of course invite everyone to return next year.
