As
team leader, Andre, or Sir, as he likes to be called, can incite fear,
and also nervousness, with only a simple glance.

As a man of
the bush, as he likes to describe himself, David is an obvious choice
for team navigator. His skills with a compass are only surpassed by his
belief in his skills with a compass.

Cindy is everything
we look for in a teammate, Good and Kind. Good at what she does and kind'a
gullible. Amazingly despite the fact that she is no longer a rookie she
continues to race with us. Proof that if you don't know any better you
will believe that anything is normal.

What can I
say about Manon, other than she is possibly the craziest person we have
ever met. From her questionable choice in automotive design to her utter
distain towards the brakes on her bike she never failed to keep us smiling.
By the way, we should have told her it was unnecessary to train so much
to be on our team.

Keith possessed
all the qualities necessary to be an excellent Max Payne teammate, eagerness
to race! What else would explain an otherwise intelligent person signing
up for this abuse with only two weeks to get ready. And since that first
race he has returned to race again this year, boy he must be eager.

Sherry showed
a willingness to throw caution to the wind and joined our team of intrepid
weekend warriors despite considerable reasons to reconsider. And despite
this lack of good judgement or perhaps because of it she made an excellent
addition to the team.
2005
As
probably the most experienced person to ever join our team Bill really
should have known better. Some people are just suckers for punishment
though and if they are also good at navigation they are more then welcome
on our team.
2005
The
fiercely independent Jess proves that good things come in small packages.
Also that you can never have enough medical professionals on the team!
Along with her eager spirit she brought incredible luck with her helping
us to our first ever win in her first ever race. I quickly returned her
to the reality of racing with us in the next race.

After
a few years of near misses Linda decided to join our infamous team for
our most ambitious race to date. Proof that constant emails can breakdown
even the wisest and strongest of us. Her strength, determination and most
of all sense of humour were great assets to the team. No A.S. that I know
could do a better job of keeping me on bearing!

The
man with the cast iron feet was the final piece of the puzzle that made
entering our first expedition length race possible. Quite likely the most
organized teammate ever Jim came to Timmins on a mission. Unfortunately
for him that mission was to donate as much blood as possible to the local
flora and fauna. Mission accomplished!

Since
meeting Andy for the winter SAC it was obvious he was a man determined
to be first. First to the beer tent that is! An honest motivation that
I truly understand. Another strong teammate with a constant smile through
the toughest conditions imaginable. In other words another sucker for
punishment, perfect for our team.
2006
Chris is the
pace setter for the team and responsible for keeping the groups spirits
high even in the most adverse conditions. Unfortunately, he has a bad
habit of stopping to smell the pretty flowers along the route. Due to
this or perhaps it had something to do with hanging upside down 400 feet
in the air, he has since joined the ranks of our support crew.

Nathalie,
unfortunately, was duped into believing that team Max Payne would provide
her the opportunity to compete competitively.
We would like
to apologize to her from the outset.

Scott was
also a rookie racer and we have his friend Jeremy to thank for sending
him to our team. I am not sure if Scott has forgiven him yet but I am
sure we were not quite able to destroy a lifelong friendship in only one
weekend?
2003
As the name
may suggest, Dennis is the older brother of our team captain. He has made
it a life-long habit of getting his younger brother out of trouble and
will be, once again, at his brothers side to pick up the pieces.

David had no
idea what he was getting himself into... "come on"... they said...
"it'll be fun... we'll go for a drive and see the countryside...
". We would also like to apologize to David.

As you can
tell from this picture, Chris has aged significantly since his first adventure
race with Max Payne. During those early years, he was filled with a youthful
vibrance that could only be matched by his love for nature and the outdoors.
But alas, that was 2002.

Pam generously
volunteered to join her husband as a proud member of Max Payne's support
crew. Max Payne team members were encouraged by this, trusting that she
would also help to be a calming influence on her sometimes colourful husband.

Robert, the
eldest brother to both Andre and Dennis, took time out of his busy schedule
to lend his expertise to the team. Despite several hours of intense prodding,
however, he finally convinced team members that speeding regulations couldn't
be applied to other teams. Note the picture. Robert thought he should
show Max Payne what a medal looks like.
