As a result of the lumber sawing process, other materials are produced as byproducts. These include Sawdust, Shavings, Chips and Bark. 

All of these products can be used in other processes. Wood Chips, for example, are primary ingredients in the Pulp & Paper industry. Glossy magazine paper is made from Spruce Chips. Sawdust and Shavings are instrumental in the process of wafer board. Bark is used as a fertilizing agent as well as hog fuel for co-generation plants.

By products produced at the Haavaldsrud SawmillSawdust, Shavings and Chips are sold in bulk quantities at current market rates.
